About Liposuction

Liposuction, sometimes called suction lipectomy - is the removal of fat by suction. It can be an extremely successful means of removing stubborn deposits of fat which can't be shifted by diet or exercise.

Liposuction is the most common operation carried out in the United States, and 300,000 of them were carried out there last year. Although the best results are obtained with the elastic skin of younger women, it may also be used satisfactorily on middle-aged women.

The operation works very well on the hips, the outer thigh, the lower part of the abdomen and on the inner part of the knee. It can also be carried out beneath the chin, as part of a face lift in an older person; on the breasts, as part of a breast reduction; on the abdomen, as part of a tummy tuck. It is however less successful on the upper arms, on the lower back, on the upper part of the abdomen, on the inner thigh and on the lower leg.

We have adopted the Laser Lipolysis system for small areas of liposuction and use it in conjunction with aspiration (traditional suction) to provide even better results.
